Tony Bawden Director Dip LGA, Grad CLGM, FIMM, JP


Tony has over 36 years of experience in Local Government and has been employed as the Director of Corporate Services and Economic Development since 2002. Prior to this, Tony worked in Senior Management positions and as a Chief Executive Offi cer in Local Government in South Australia.


Areas of Responsibility: Tony is responsible for the provision of a broad range of internal supports to ensure that Council delivers quality and effi cient services to our community. In conjunction with the Wimmera Business Centre and the Wimmera Development Association, this department also provides economic development and business support through major projects such as the Wimmera Intermodal Freight Terminal development and industrial estates.


Services include: Customer Service, Finance Management, Information Technology, Organisational Development, Property Management, Records Management and the Wimmera Business Centre.


Planning and Promotion Robin Neilson

Dip CE, Grad Dip (LGMan), ME, MBI, SI, MIE (Aust), MBS


Robin has 36 years experience in Local Government. He commenced at Horsham Rural City Council in 1995 and was appointed as Director in 2001. Prior to joining Horsham Rural City Council, Robin was employed at Northern Grampians Shire Council.


Areas of Responsibility: Planning and Promotion Services includes a variety of building, planning and regulatory services including traffi c/parking control and animal management. This department is also responsible for overseeing tourism and events marketing, including the Horsham and Grampians Visitor Information Centre.


Services include: Building and Planning Services, Regulatory Services, Building and Asset Maintenance, Local Laws, School Crossing Supervisors, Horsham and Grampians Visitor Information Centre and Tourism, plus Major Events Marketing.
