Designed to help prepare your young 3 year old for their first experi- ence away from their primary caregiver, this class focuses on socializa- tion through group experiences, songs, stories and crafts. Our goal is to give your child the skill set required for their next preschool level.

The 3 year old program encourages socialization and problem solving skills, as well as increased independence. Our curriculum is theme/lit- eracy based and concentrates on shape/color recognition, beginning alphabet/numbers and counting. We kindly and lovingly encourage listening & language interaction throughout class, especially during structured group time/activities. Fine motor skills are honed during free play and project time.

4 – 5 year old Pre–K 3 DAY CLASS • Child must be 4 years old by September 1, 2012


• Child must be potty trained • Maximum 10 students per class at Indian Trail; Maximum 10 students per class at the Annex.


The Pre-K class is designed to prepare children for kindergarten and beyond. Careful consideration has been paid to develop the curriculum based on the surrounding area schools’ kindergarten benchmarks as well as the Illinois Early Learning Standards. Our literacy based curriculum includes alphabet/phonetic recognition, and a math/ science concentration using pre-math skills such as counting, number recognition, graphing and basic addition/subtraction. Fine motor skills are incorporated into our projects and group activities, as well as name recognition and handwriting skills.
