Rotary International Fellowship Denia, 100 and still going strong!
President Ian Nixon welcomed 27 members and guests to Mapa Mundi in Denia, including Denia Councillor Marcela Server, whose responsibilities include international relations, for their 100th. meeting last month. After a very enjoyable lunch Marcela explained her responsibilities within the council and the members ended the meeting with the Rotary Toast “Rotary and Peace the world over” and a celebratory glass of cava!
The Fellowship, which consists of current, or past members of Rotary, or any other Service Organisation, together with their partners and invited guests meets twice a month, except during the summer, for an enjoyable meal and fellowship. A number of different nationalities are involved but the meeting language is English. If you would like to join them please telephone 965 748 909.
Over the 6 years the Fellowship has been in existence they have managed to raise approximately 3500€, most of which has been donated to local worthwhile causes, and anticipate donating a further 1000€ this year.
