Air con and menu pricing at Larry’s
Now in our 19th year!
OK, so now it’s getting really hot and last month we mentioned how to use your air-con in the most economic way. Of course, that assumes that you haven’t turned your air-con on and found it doesn’t work.
The most likely cause is the system needs a re-gas, but it could be a bit worse, you may have a leaky tube. The air-con gas contains a lubricant which keeps everything running smoothly and more importantly, stops the rubber seals drying out, as of course dry rubber cracks and causes leaks. Whatever the cause, we can get you going and help you to keep your cool at the same time. And if you check this month’s ad, you’ll fi nd we’re giving a free air-con re-gas with every service including interim services. Menu pricing Now onto menu pricing, what exactly is that? It works like this. All car manufacturers have, over time, worked out to the nearest 5 minutes how long any particular job should take. For example, camshaft drive belt/chain tensioner repair should take 2.2 hours for a Toyota Land Cruiser. We will charge our customers according to what the manufacturer says it should take. Now, if the job takes longer, we still price for the recommended time, we don’t charge for ineffi ciency. Many mechanics simply don’t have access to the resources we have so you’re at the mercy of how long they take. And that leads to expensive surprises, something we don’t like. Honesty and clarity are cornerstones of our values here at Larry’s and that’s why we do menu pricing and why we can give accurate quotes. So now you know! Larry’s garage can be found in Benitachell just around the corner from Mas y Mas. Call 96 649 3226.
