Women In Business is primarily a networking group for female sole traders or women who are in partnership with, or who represent businesses in the Marina Alta area. WIB is also a registered charity, fund-raising to aid victims of domestic violence. They help support shelters in Altea, Pedreguer and Vergel that are a temporary haven for women and their children who have been forced out of their homes by the actions of abusive partners.
In June, WIB in association with the new Spanish group NO+ will be running a Summer Fair in the beautiful garden style location of Iron Art, Gata de Gorgos on Saturday 16th June from 10am to 4pm. The fair is to help support the new 48 hour refuge in the Vergel area.
Entrance is free and there will be 50+ stands offering a wide range of plants, goods, gifts, services, arts and crafts with something for everyone. A raffle, tombola and live entertainment will make it a fun day out for all the family.
All proceeds will go to the Asociación NO+ Vergel to help fund an emergency refuge for women and their children who have suffered domestic violence.
Do come along, have a good day out and do some good at the same time!
Directions: Iron Art, Factory outlet, Carretera N332, on leaving Gata direction Benissa/ Teulada, after crossing the bridge on the right hand side.
