SPN APR 2012 Saunas&Steam

commonplace as a bath. While Britain has a long way to go in emulating that sort of ownership, I think there is a great educational programme to be done in this country. Regular use of a sauna leads to improved blood circulation and immunity, relief from muscle pain, stress relief and physical and mental relaxation.” Harvia’s standard range of saunas and infrared cabins is one of the widest in the marketplace. They are manufactured from tough, slowly grown wood.

The Variant is the most flexible of Harvia’s sauna designs. There are four options of wall and ceiling panelling and there’s also a choice of windows and doors. There are also five stylish alternatives for the interior design. The benches, headrests and backrests are made from easy-care abachi wood. High-quality bench design and soft sauna lighting guarantee enjoyment. In total, there are 25 models to choose from.

market – designed to suit any specification. The Astrild bespoke sauna is the deluxe model designed for the high end commercial and domestic market.

The Hemlock sauna with hidden nails and curved bench fronts is more often used in wellness suites or in high end domestic properties. The Kiln dried spruce sauna with LED lights is commonly used in commercial health and fitness gyms.

“This is an important move for us and one we are very excited about. The wellness theme is a very strong force for consumers and with the complete Aachen range we are adding a new dimension to the business and offering an exciting range of bespoke products which will more than stand the test of quality and exclusivity,” added Topline.

AQUAZZI LOOK TO THE UK TO REPEAT EUROPEAN STRENGTHS

Aquazzi, the French manufacturing company who have a strong base for swim spas, steam rooms and in-ground pools, introduced their range of saunas at SPATEX as part of their campaign for better distribution of products away from their traditional base in France, Spain, Switzerland and Belgium.

The fast expanding business has a range of nine infrared saunas.

“We have built a strong market position for our range of wellness products by developing the brand and our quality. We also ensure our wide range of showrooms give the customer the chance to see that quality in a relaxing environment. We believe the sauna market of the UK has a lot of potential for growth. We have seen this throughout other parts of Europe where consumers now accept the health benefits of saunas and want to add one to their home. Price is not always a factor but quality and reliability is,” said a spokesman.

UK SALES POTENTIAL ATTRACTS ALPHA Alpha Industries made its name as a manufacturer of sun beds and have now added infrared cabins and saunas. The company exhibited at SPATEX based on its understanding of the growth potential in the UK market which the company believes has a long way to go to catch up with the typical sauna sales across other parts of Europe. “No one is saying that everyone will opt for a sauna but there is huge market interest now throughout Europe and including the UK,” says the company.

Alpha now offers a wide range of wellness- products, which combine a price/quality ratio and clever construction. These products are sold for private and professional use.

The history of Alpha Industries stretches back over 40 years to 1966, and in the 1980’s developed expertise in sun beds. Its infrared saunas, says the company are now gaining in popularity in the middle of the market. spn
