required to control the entire system including the LED screens, the lighting fixtures and the special effects. By giving full cue controls to one person ensures that timing for cues is met, resulting in a flawless show night after night.
As a live venue, the sound system was required to be flexible, and be able to handle a variety of music types. The main PA comprises six L-Acoustics ARCS line array cabinets, flown in two clusters of three, left and right of the stage. Each of the 2-way active speakers are equipped with a high frequency and low frequency section. The HF is achieved with a 3-inch neodymium diaphragm compression driver and a DOSC waveguide, while a 15-inch LF driver takes care of the low end. A reason behind choosing the L-Acoustics ARCS was their built in Wavefront Sculpture Technology, a system developed by L- Acoustics to create products with constant curvature. This technology ensures even and coherent coverage. @Live has a large main room and the stage is located at one end, therefore accurate sound was an important factor to guarantee every clubber the same musical experience.
The line arrays are supplemented by eight L-Acoustics SB-18 sub- woofers, which are typically combined with the ARCS loudspeakers. Both enclosures are powered and amplified by the L-Acoustics LA8 platform.
