The performance stage was destined to be the main attraction. Seb wanted to create a homogenous backdrop, but in actual fact it was an LED screen split into five parts. Seb said: “In between the five parts I wanted to balance the LED light source with a halogen source so I added the Chromlech Jarag 5. Next to the Jarag I needed something to cut through the LED so I added eight PR [Lighting] Beam 300’s and finally 12 PR [Lighting] Spot 700’s for the face and back.” The Jarag 5’s from French manufacturer Chromlech are fully inte- grated, programmable multi-light source systems that can be used for a wide range of effects from fast flashing sequences to softer, slower patterns. Seb supplied and installed six Jarag 5 panels. He said: “Chromlech’s Jarag 5 is a fantastic light projector and is very well manufactured, it also brings that warm feeling with the halogen source, which perfectly balance the coldness of LEDs.” Seb selected a combination of PR Lighting fixtures to be installed
in and around the stage area. The lighting rig comprises eight PR Lighting XL Beam 300’s, 12 XL Spot 700’s and six Pro Stage 600W profiles. The Pro stage fixtures offer high outputs and even light dis- tribution partially due to the fact they are equipped with a multifaceted dichroic coated reflector. Each profile also features four beam shaper blades to create different effects ranging from vivid projections to a more general wash effect. The XL Beam 300 moving heads are com- pact and versatile fixtures with a very quiet operational mode, ideal for use in live performance venues such as @Live. The XL Spot 700’s feature a bi-directionally rotating animation wheel, this equips lighting designers with the tools to create an exciting lighting show by insert- ing animation effect gobos of their choice, to suit on the stage show. The PR Lighting fixtures were supplied by locally based Acoustic & Lighting System Sdn Bhd. American DJ’s Quad Phase fixtures each produce 160 beams of light, so 10 of these are more than capable of filling a packed
