Simply compile your own playlist and blast it out to your guests via, say, an Ipod and quality speakers, without the need to hire a DJ.
If the thought of performing your first dance in front of your guests brings you out in a cold sweat, you could always enlist the help of a dance teacher prior to the big day. Again, find one locally via the internet, but be sure to check references. There are so many entertainment options available that couples are spoilt for choice. Quirky choices include a comedian, magician or caricaturist. If budgets allow, you could hire a photo booth to provide unique snap shots. If you’re feeling flush, go for a James Bond-themed reception, with a casino table and cocktail bar. And of course fireworks are the perfect way to round off the night.
