German comedian Anke Engelke returns to host the 24th European Film Awards ceremony
Anke Engelke was born in Montreal, Canada. She started hosting radio shows at the age of 11 and made her debut on TV when she was 12 years old. Her acting career started in 1996 with the weekly SAT1 comedy show Die Wochenshow. As an extremely versatile actress, Engelke has
had many roles on German TV. She has also hosted fi lm events, including at the Berlinale, has supplied the German voice for various animated characters including Dorie in Finding Nemo and Marge in The Simpsons and has received great reviews on the big screen in fi lms such as Liebes-

Luder by Detlev Buck, Vom Suchen Und Finden Der Liebe by Helmut Dietl and Lippels Traum by Lars Büchel. For almost 10 years Engelke has produced and starred in her own comedy show Ladykracher.
She hosted the European Film Awards Cere- monies in 2009 in Bochum and in 2010 in Tallinn. Engelke’s creative work has been hon- oured with numerous awards, among them three of the renowned Grimme Awards, 14 com- edy awards and the 2011 German TV Award for best comedy.
