Flatland: Natalie Lanese Jan. 10 - Feb. 11, 2012
Painted and collaged directly on the gallery wall, Lanese’s patterns transform into geometric landscapes in which the collaged elements create conceptual spaces and immediate psychological realities that confront ideas of image vs. reality, depth and flatness.
Karl Stevens Feb. 15 – March 10, 2012
A graphic novelist and painter, Stevens bridges the gap between observation and creative expression with his humorous and realistically executed drawings that tell everyday stories. His current comic Failure runs weekly in the Boston Phoenix.
David Schoerner '07 March 14 - April 7, 2012
Montserrat alumnus Schoerner works primarily with photographs and works-on-paper and employs a personal narrative to reorganize our preconceived notions of his familiar-feeling subject matter.
