The Party’s On The House on the 29th September in the Casa de Cultura in Benissa.
Philip Ashley’s ‘Sing for Fun’ workshops have been running all summer and the participants will present an end of summer concert of the work they have been doing. There is a twist however, as the group will also be giving away vouchers from local restaurants for a menu del dia for two or a monetary voucher, so the party really is on the house.
Every ticket will also be the holder’s entrance for the price draw, so everyone attending will have an equal chance of winning a prize. On top of this for every ticket sold 4 Euros will be given to the ‘Friends of the Children of Emaús’ for their continued work. The concert itself covers a wide selection of music, from the tunes of Simon and Garfunkel, Gershwin, Musical Theatre and even a little piece of Strauss. There are numbers from the entire group and also solos, duets and small ensemble numbers, so there really is something for everyone. Philip stated that “the participants have worked hard, and Monday evenings have definitely been fun. I’m constantly impressed by the level of talent that we keep
finding locally and their desire to have fun and help a good cause at the same time”. Philip would like to thank amongst others, the following restaurants that are supporting this event:- El Nou Portet – Murla, El Cafetí de la Mar – Moraira, Restaurant La Marina – Benissa, Colbi’s Dinner – Moraira, Grandcafé Eleven – Moraira, Beni Asia – Benitachell, Mélé Mélo – Moraira, Restaurant Senija – Senija, Finca Pinada - Benissa.
Tickets are available from 96 558 1483 or online at
www.philipashley.com and are priced at 12€. Doors open at 19.30 with the concert commencing at 20.00.
