Jávea Players: The next production will be from 26th Sept. to October 1st at their newly refurbished studio in conjunction with the Monte Pego Theatre Company. Networks Theatre: In the run up to Christmas, Networks Theatre in Orihuela Ciudad is presenting three productions written and directed by theatre professional Nick Moore. November 10/12th Kindertransport, a powerful drama about Jewish children being evacuated in the Second World War. November 24/26th the traditional pantomime, Cinderella and December 16/17th Star, a celebration of Christmas. Rojales Pantomime Group: The Pantomime Aladdin has now been cast and will be staged in December with rehearsals beginning Sept 2nd at Quesada Cultural Centre. The costume team have already started work as have the props crew. The

Rascals: Following a successful summer season when 3,620€ was raised and donated to local charities, Rascals are having a break for a few weeks. Director Pat Turner will, however, have her thinking cap on because this month they will start to rehearse their winter variety show which will be performed in December. Stagestruck: Their debut production will be, Christmas Spirit, an original musical comedy, written and directed by the lady who wrote and directed the well received, Ancient Grease. In spite of the strong initial turnout at their inaugural meeting, they need more actors, singers and dancers as well as backstage crew. S h o w g r o u p Torrevieja: The group start rehearsals for their next production Paella and Chips on September 7th at 19.00 at La Rustika. All parts have been cast but any

Torrevieja Gilbert & Sullivan Society: Although the society was established in 1995, they need new blood. If you can you sing, act, play piano or conduct, or do all these at the same time, you will be welcomed with open arms. Yabooh Theatre: Their debut production was Chaucer ’s Canterbury Tales, staged in at the open air amphitheatre area close to Piscina Bar in Rafol de Almunia – was totally enjoyable. Although this is a new concept company using actors from surrounding companies for one-off productions, I suggest you watch this space. This could prove to be an interesting project.
