INTIMAINTIMATE TOUR

OUR

FOR THIS OLD MAN

FOR THIS OLD MAN

OLD Man River is embarking on a winter tour of Australia, performing songs in an intimate acoustic setting from his albums Good Morning and Trust and supporting his initiative 1000 Cranes for Japan. Old Man River has an affi nity with the people of Japan. A strong bond developed over an

extraordinary period of success in that country in 2008 when he became the fi rst Australian in decades to score a number one hit on both the Japanese and other foreign music charts with his single LA. During the promotion of that single and subsequent touring, Old Man River made many close friends and so felt he wanted to make a personal gesture of goodwill to the people of Japan after the natural disasters of March 11, this year. Old Man River will fold 1000 paper cranes and personally deliver them to the people of Japan later this year in a gesture of goodwill on behalf of his friends and fans.

The campaign is supported by the

Red Cross and has already attracted the attention of other artists, including Josh Pyke, Claire Bowditch and Washington. Old Man River will be playing at the Northern Star Hotel on Friday, July 8.
