Charter House Activity Centre & Sensory room Lifelong learning for people with disabilities.
We have activities which start at 10am and run through to 3pm, these include cookery sessions, painting and other craft sessions to suit individual needs. We will be focusing on promoting independence, social skills and having an enjoyable time. We have a well-equipped multi sensory room including a heated water bed which can be hired out on an hourly basis. Over the last twenty years we have worked with people with varying degrees of disabilities. In that time we have found very few places that can provide birthday parties that everyone can access, we feel at Charter House we have the skills and knowledge to cater for their needs, we have a ramp to get into our building, we have wider doorways, changing facilities in our disabled toilet and a track hoist. Our Centre can also be hired for family events, parties or any social gathering. Our young people’s parties have been very popular. If you are interested in using or hiring our Centre for a child’s party please contact us. If you need any more information visit our web site
www.charterhouseburnley.co.uk or give us a ring on 01282 429094 our staff will be available to answer any questions from 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday.
Mystery Pub. Last months cock-up made it really tough to get the answer as we lost the grid lines in our printing process. But yet again our intrepid readers still found a way and yet again we had loads of entries. The winner is Katheryn Thistlethwaite from Great Harwood. Who gets £20 to spend at Snuffys in Great Harwood and will be informed by email. Snuffys is a vibrant town centre pub which has just been refurbished hosting a new wooden floor throughout and new decking to the front ready for some summer sunshine. Pat and Debbie are celebrating their 5th year at the helm this month and offer a warm welcome to customers old and new. 3D TV offers live sports action and the weekends always see live entertainment and late night opening. There is a large function room available and the games room provides a selection of pub games. See the advert opposite for more information. And talking of pub games, we have another Mystery pub picture quiz which should get you reminiscing about some of the traditional pub games. Email your answers to:
