with your dreams to receive inspira- tion? Here’s one method to incubate a dream of inspiration:
Work with your breath – be- fore you go to sleep, spend a few minutes doing some deep breath work. As you breathe in, visualize golden and white light filling your heart and illuminating every cell. As you breathe out, release any stresses or tensions of the day. Picture the stresses of the day flowing out from the bottoms of your feet deep into the earth.
Make a clear statement about what it is you are asking. Be specific. A good example is to say “I am open to receiving a dream about ________________________.” If you need inspiration for an article you want to write, ask for it. If you need inspiration for a conversation you want to have, ask. If you need inspiration for a new job search, ask. Remember that your curiosity is a powerful vibration on its own. If you couple that curiosity with intention you create a stronger resonance and a greater chance of success.
Express gratitude as if your dream request has already been granted. Just like working with the Law of Attraction in your waking life, trust that what you ask for will manifest. The same spiritual principle of vibrational attraction is at work in the dream state. Grati- tude is that energy that puts you in a deeply receptive state, the best condition in order to manifest what it is you want.
Make your bedroom and your bed a place of luxurious rest. Give yourself the gift of fresh linens often, light a candle, have some fresh flowers if you choose. Perhaps take a relaxing bath before retiring so your body is ready for a good night’s
rest. Having a regular nighttime routine and consistent bedtime is one of the ways to ensure a good night’s sleep and deeper, more regular dreams.
As you fall asleep continue to ask for the dream inspiration you need. If you like, you can work with your inner eye to visualize the result achieved as you ask for the inspiration you seek.
Be open to whatever informa- tion comes in. When you awake write down any dreams that you remember and just trust you are receiving what you need.
Often specific information unfolds over several nights so be patient with your process of working with your dreams for inspiration. Think of your inspiration like a flower slowly opening. You are planting the seeds as you go to sleep so realize that it may take time for the seeds you plant to take root and blossom. If you stay with your commitment to work with your dreams, you will get the information you are asking for. As you learn to interpret the symbols in your dreams, more and more informa- tion will be available so stay open and persevere. The rewards may be beyond your wildest dreams!
