The Destiny Discovery Process by Michelle L. Casto

Who am I? Why am I here? How can I serve? These are some of the oldest and most important questions posed by human beings throughout history. They become the most profound when an individual such as yourself begins to think and reflect on them. Upon reading this article and do- ing some soul-searching, you will discover your own unique answers to these important questions. The word purpose means to have intentional results. When we are on purpose, we are making a conscious effort to be or create something. Being “purposeful” is living with intention and having faith in something greater than ourselves.

Is Destiny really meant for the likes of you? Heavens Yes! You already have some ideas about what you want but you probably doubt your ability to have what you want. You may have given up a long time ago. Usually what we REALLY want seems out of reach, “impossible.” But we must remember that the word “impossible” with an apostrophe is actually I’m (I am) pos- sible. And you are! (full of possibility in fact!)

Purpose can be defined in several ways. For one, when we know our purpose, we have an anchor—a device of the mind and feeling in our heart that provides some shelter from the storms of life. A key point about “be- ing on purpose” is that when that is our way of being, we find our lives have meaning, and when are “off purpose”

we are confused about what the point of our own life is....we may even suffer an existential crisis! \

A clearly defined purpose provides meaning, direction, and significance. Your soul purpose answers two essen- tial questions: Who do I want to be? and What do I want to do? When we are living from our true soul’s purpose, we feel more alive—filled with excitement, joy, and “contentment.” We are more connected to one another as human beings and more satisfied with our LIFE and chosen career path. Think about this---everyone is search- ing for “something” to help them feel happy and joyful.

If we did not each

come in with a purpose encoded within us, what are we all looking for then?

Not being on purpose leads to constant seeking of external things to feel better about your life. When you are not on purpose, you may try to do it all alone. You grasp at straws, everything looks good—whether it is a new job, going to school, moving, finding another lover—anything to fill the void of the extreme emptiness you feel inside.

Being on purpose leads to an internal peace with what is unfolding in your life. You have a feeling of “all is right with the world” and know that you have an important part to play. When you are “on purpose” you tap into

a higher power, & you then receive su- pernatural support. The best things in life are naturally attracted to you, and life flows along rather wonderfully and abundantly!!! Can I hear a Woo Hoo! Over the past decade, it has become clear to me that living on purpose is the most direct route to happiness.
