HEALTH

Issue 10 March 2011

ES Teck, Electro Photonic Imaging, and Polycontrast Interference Photography are three additional devices that have allowed our team at the Centre for Biofield Sciences to map the seven distinct stages of onset of a disease (see Figure 3). With this early detection, debilitating chronic conditions can be averted much more effectively than they can using current conventional detection systems. As non-invasive tools, they also justify their use in preventative screening. We need to compile the evidence that has been collected and repeat the experiments in other research laboratories for this information to permeate into the modern understanding of health.

Personally, I feel we are at a great juncture of realisation, where health professionals, quantum physicists and even researchers in consciousness studies all realise the same thing–that subtle energy, prana, chi (or whatever you prefer to call it) is the missing link in health. Conventional medicine still treats the biofield as if it were the proverbial elephant in the room.

The past few decades have seen large advances in the complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) field. There are protocols in place to rigorously examine the efficacy and safety of these treatment modalities so that they may be incorporated into the modern healthcare arena. However a common complaint of CAM practitioners is that the clinical research being carried out to test their validity is not performed in a manner that complements their given modality. That is, current testing techniques do not take into account the biofield nature of these modalities. It is apparent that the majority of CAM therapies involve an energetic component as part of the healing or treatment process, and thus an assessment procedure that considers all these aspects is necessary. Omitting this intertwined variable could go some way to explaining why many of these research papers have found erroneous, often conflicting results.

Atlas of Disease States

It is important to continue the development of a ‘Gladstone bag’ for the modern era, in other words, a toolbox of safe, efficient and cost- effective techniques to help assist the primary healthcare worker and then the integrated clinical team in evaluating or triangulating an individual’s health trajectory. The Health Trajectory (HT) is a method of mapping an individual’s health status, both now and in the future, against an average peer group norm. A database is being established to create an Atlas of Diseases (AOD) that will provide valuable information on where and what illness is likely to occur and will therefore help coordinate an individual’s HT against a known health terrain. From our research, patterns of imbalance show in the biofield before they affect the physical body. Our AOD will allow an independent assessment procedure by matching an individual’s holistic health analysis to a database of known disease and pre-disease cases. The process is a bit like what weathermen do when modelling the likely outcome of a weather system.

This is a model of disease stages based on seven distinct stages of manifestation. These different levels are measured against an axis of time and are subdivided from three major groups: pre- medical, medical and post-medical. The Atlas of
