Leicester Local completes Freedom Alliance academy Leicester resident and student
Jeremy Suttles has successfully completed the Freedom Alliance
Military Leadership Academy. Te academy is a unique sum- mer camp based on the curriculum
of the U.S. Army. In its 10th year, the academy introduces cadets to positive role models, teaches them
leadership skills and tests their re- solve through rigorous mental and physical challenges. “We are very excited that Jer-
emy decided to take the challenge presented by the academy,” stated Freedom Alliance president Tom Kilgannon. “Not just anyone has the skills, fortitude and excellent physical fitness required to make it through this intense program. We commend him on a job well done and we are certain that he will con- tinue to do great things in the fu- ture.”
Te two-week academy couples
an intense leadership training envi- ronment with challenging and edu- cational experiences like a tour of the Aviation Logistics School and simulators at Fort Eustis, a Lead- ership Reaction Course, and land navigation and fire-team tactics. Te cadets also visit historical sites, such as the monuments in Wash- ington, D.C. For more information, go to mla-
camp.com or

and is just now seeing some of their players return. Darius Lytle is back after a non-football injury to his shoulder. Sexton expects to have Matt Chancey return next week after injuring his knee in the Reyn- olds game. Troughout this season, Sexton
has noted the strong fan support and hopes it will continue into the
playoffs. “Te fan support has been unbelievable up to this point,” said Sexton. Even with this big win, Sexton is
not concerned about the Warriors letting down their guard or be- coming over confident. He said the team is now focusing on this week’s game against McDowell. “Tese guys [Erwin] play the same no matter whose playing,”
said Sexton. “Tey know what they have to do to win games.” Tough McDowell is winless
this season, Sexton said the Erwin players know they can’t overlook anyone. “McDowell is struggling as a
team right now,” Sexton said. “Tey have an excellent coach, though, and I’m sure they will be ready to play on Friday.”
