How is business in your territory and how do you see the market performing in 2011? Now that the election is over, companies that were holding back are starting to actually look at using the tax credit before the end of the year.
What new technologies have you seen emerging in your territory? Starting to see some stacked die technologies at some high rel, low volume companies. Still seeing companies converting to Pb-free.

How is business in your territory and how do you see the market performing in 2011? Business activity in the territories I cover (FL Gulf Coast, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic) has been significantly more active in terms of requests for information and products than in 2009, for sure. Although it has not produced significant hard purchase orders, orders have been awarded and TRC must be there to participate of this activity regardless of the cost. It is also evident to me that more seeds have been planted this year than in years past which should yield positive results in 2011 and 2012. Most of the companies I call upon seem to be more ‘’up- beat’’ and ‘’positive’’ going forward, particularly as it regards business opportunities in 2011.
What new technologies have you seen emerging in your territory? New technologies which I continue to see emerging within these territories seem to be directed at addressing and minimizing errors in solder paste screen printing processes and the increase use of 2D & 3D inspection systems. Minimizing repair and rework continue to dominate interests in my respective territories.
