Harry Accornero A Sensible Voice In Concord

To The Editor: November 2nd will be

for many in Laconia an important time in terms of electing a well respected conservative Republican to the legislature in Concord. Fortunately, Laconia has that type of individual in Harry Accornero. Harry brings a wealth of business and legislative experience to the political forum. Currently as many of

you know, our State is faced with a tremendous amount of debt, no thanks to the governor and the democrat controlled leg- islature. Recent reports indicate the State faces a $600 to $800 million dollar deficit. At this criti- cal time, we all should be looking to individuals that will represent their

constituents with honesty and integrity. Going forward the legis-

lature must take drastic measures and make se- rious but well-reasoned budget decisions for the next biennium. Cuts must be made in state government along with sound solutions of re- ducing the existing debit without more taxes, for this is the right thing to do. Harry Accornero is not a novice when it comes to understanding the legisla- tive process having served in the legislature in the early 90’s. Furthermore, his experience in operat- ing his family hardware store business in tough economic times whi le keeping people employed, bodes well when trying to shape budget cuts while protecting critical state services. For Forsythe

To The Editor: Jim Forsythe has been

an outstanding member of our community in Straf- ford, with a strong record of service and commit- ment to our youth. Jim was my successor as Cub- master of our local Cub Scout Pack, mentoring a large group of young boys and adult leaders. His leadership, energy, and enthusiasm were critical in providing an excellent program for the Pack. He was an excellent role model for our organization as he led monthly Pack meetings, helped organize camping trips, and par- ticipated in den meetings. In addition to serving as Cubmaster, Jim has also been a volunteer coach

for the recreational soc- cer program, devoting his time and energy to ensure a quality athletic program for our kids. Between soc- cer and Cub Scouts, my children and many others have benefited from the time Jim has given serv- ing his community. But Jim’s commitment

to his local community doesn’t end there. He has also consistently advo- cated for the taxpayers of Strafford by attending se- lectmen and school board meetings. He was a leader in the fight to repeal the LLC Tax, going out of his way to explain to others why it would be so detri- mental to business in our state. What impresses me most about Jim is that you can count on him to present the hard facts about what is going on so that you can make in- formed decisions. I believe Jim Forsythe’s record of community service and taxpayer advocacy shows how hard he will work as a State Senator to represent District 4.

Vote Henry and Omer

To The Editor: This letter is to en-

dorse Henry Ahern Jr. for State Representative from Grafton District #7 (Plym- outh and Hebron). There are two seats

from this district and I am a candidate for the other seat. I am also endorsing Omer Ahern Jr. for Grafton County Commissioner. I have known the Ahern family for many years and have observed many fine quali- ties in their character. I know that their parents instilled in them strong work ethics and civic re- sponsibility. I believe that their expe- rience in business, govern- ment, and organizations provides strong founda- tions for public service. Now is a particularly im- portant time to exercise your right to vote. Please consider voting

for Henry and Omer on Tuesday, November 2nd.
