Anti Aging &
The oldest documented living human in the world today is Eugenie Blanchard of France who is currently 114 years of age. However, there are also countless other men and women who are alive and well who are over 100 years of age, and who are in fact living a very fulfi lling life well into their second century. In fact this fi gure in the USA alone is thought to be over 54,000 people. What does this indicate?
It is clear from these statistics that the potential for humans to live well beyond 100 years does exist.
Why do some people live to well over 100 years without any hint of any serious illness, whilst others barely manage to get to 70? I am sure you all know of someone who is blessed with great health, is vibrant and full of life and who looks much younger than their age. You may well think that they are just lucky as they have been born with great genes. However can genetics be the reason that some people can live longer and healthier than others? Well not really. You see researchers believe that genetics accounts for only between 5-15% of what determines our lifespan, so from this we can say that genetics is not the major factor in determining our life potential. Our life potential is therefore not made up of just our genetic predisposition to health, but is made up of many factors. Let’s look at this in more detail now.
Life Potential
So you now know that you do have the potential to live to well over 100 years of age, as countless others just like you have already proven, and you know that your genetics does not really play a big role in this. I think it is a crying shame that since we all have the life potential of at least 100 years, the vast majority of us succumb to a deadly illness by the age of 70 years, or even earlier. This is a waste or a loss of 30-40 years of life potential!
But there are ways you can prevent this waste of your life, and there numerous choices you can make that can help you to maximize your life potential. Barring a serious and life ending accident, you most certainly have a large say in what ultimately will be your life potential. You have the power in your hands right at this very moment to make the choices in your life that will most certainly add extra years to your life potential. If you don’t act now and make the right decisions and choices in your life, you may well wake up one day when you are 50, 60 or even 70 years old and look and feel very unwell. You may have developed a seri- ous degenerative disease which is causing you to age at a very rapid rate and which is also drastically reducing your life potential. You may then think to yourself that there is no way you are going to get to your life potential of say 114 years, and guess what? You’re probably right! You poten- tial was 114 but not anymore.
You see the trouble is that if you don’t act early enough by taking the necessary steps and making the correct lifestyle changes, by the time disease strikes it may well be too late to be able to regain your lost life potential. The earlier you start making the necessary changes to your life the more chance you have of reaching your life potential. But even if you do have a serious illness, it is never too late to make changes no matter how serious your condition at any given moment. So don’t give up hope as if you have the determination and willpower, anything is possible.
How You Can Maximize Your Life Potential
Just how then can you make certain that you maximize your life potential? Let’s start with the simple things you can do and the lifestyle choices you can make that will have a huge bearing on your life potential. 1) Nutrition – there is no doubt in my mind that eating the correct foods for your body and cells that will keep them nourished and healthy is one of the most profound ways to extend your life span. As Hippocrates once said “let your food be your medicine and let your medicine be your food”. What is the correct food for a long life span? Complete whole foods in their natural state are the closest we can get to our perfect foods. This includes fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, whole grains, raw dairy (preferably cultured), and organic or wild meats. Small frequent meals are much better than a few large ones. There is no one diet that fi ts all unfortunately no matter what others may say. The exact combination of macro nutrients (protein, fats and carbohydrates) for your particular metabolic type is unique to you. A metabolic typing assessment is required to determine your exact diet.

Life Potential
What Is It and What Can You Do To Extend It
2) Water – make certain that you body and organs receive enough of this most crucial substance every day. Failure to do so will result in chronic dehydration and will lead to disease and sickness and a short life span. How much is enough? That depends on many factors including where you live and your activity level – however I would say a minimum of 2-3 litres of pure clean distilled or reverse osmosis water is required daily.
3) Oxygen – the other crucial substance for your cells in order to function at their peak and to produce enough ATP (energy) on a daily basis. You can boost your blood and tissue oxygen levels by exercising regularly, practicing deep breathing exercises, doing exercise with oxygen therapy, or by having whole body ozone therapy. The latter is one of the ultimate age reversal therapies that I can think of, and will go a long way towards extending your life potential.
4) Hormone Balance – make sure you keep your hormones balanced as you age, as low hormone levels are a precursor to aging and disease. Women need to have saliva tests for estrogen and progesterone as well as cortisol, thyroid and DHEA. Men require additional tests for testosterone. Both sexes require human growth hormone testing. If your hormones are low, bring them back up to normal levels using bio-identical or natural hormones. This is a key to maximize your life potential.
5) Exercise – it not only boosts your body’s oxygen levels it also has been proven to extend your lifespan. Make sure you are regularly including exercise in your daily activities, as this is one sure fi re way of reduce the incidence of cancer or heart disease which are the 2 biggest reasons most of us die well before our life potential.
6) Remove stress – there is no doubt that stress shortens your lifespan so you must take action now to remove this killer from your life. If you are doing a job that is causing you daily stress, take action immediately to fi nd another job that is stress free. Start meditating daily and focusing on the wonderful things you have in your life right at this moment and on exactly how you would like your life to be in your perfect world.
7) Life of purpose – to live a long, healthy and happy life you have to be doing something purposeful and meaningful. You need to fi nd what you true passion is in life and focus all your attention and energy on this. It may well be something completely different from what you are doing at the moment. You may have a success ful job or business but are you really passionate about what you are doing? Does it make you wake up every morning full of vitality rearing to go? If not, then you haven’t yet found your true life purpose, and your life will never be complete. Once you do fi nd your true passion, you will have a new zest for life: you will feel like a kid with a new toy – everyday! You will feel
that
work is play and your energy and enthusiasm will be boundless.
By fi nding your life’s purpose and devoting all your energy in pursuit of it, you will unlock the secret code to a truly wonderful life, and you will maximize your life potential in the greatest possible way.
