Welcome to our May edition with spring bringing in some warmer weather just in time for 143rd Great Harwood Agricultural Show. Last year’s show was an amazing success at the new showground, and this year the organisers are hoping to build on that success with even more features and events. Our centre pages are all about the show and we send our best wishes to everyone involved. Have a Great Day. The World cup starts next month so this edition has a few football based articles just to warm things up, and talking of getting warmed up, Grumpy Git gets a bit hot under the collar as he tackles the issue of the elections. Then we have an article on page 22 about a local character getting steamed up over his narrowboat, and you may have noticed that last month the local daily paper was letting off steam about one of our jokes. See page 24. We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who supported us on the issue, it was quite touching to know that we have so many friends out there. Our little magazine is growing in other areas now and as we continue to expand we keep getting asked about our website. We got fed up of telling people we didn’t have one, so we’ve opened one.
