Scottish Lumberjax
Due to the constant growth of the Company, Lumberjax are changing
their branding from Scottish Lumberjax to Lumberjax Environmental,
or LJX.
In addition to taking over the site previously known as the Old Arp
Post in Kilmacolm, LJX have also invested in sign written (liveried)
Company vehicles to help promote this change.
LJX are pleased to explain that “even though we have re-branded
to LJX with our new Environmental Logo, we are still the same team
with the same strong work ethics that we have always had. That is
one thing that won’t change”. In addition to the new look of LJX,
they are now able to offer to the public a full work shop facility
for the repair and servicing of all types of garden machinery with
their fully qualifi ed mechanic. For further information on this service
please contact LJX on the usual numbers.
Bridge of Weir Horticultural Society
Our last meeting for this session was on Thursday 14th
May. We had a visit to a local garden belonging to one
of our committee members. The weather was kind to us
and remained dry although a little chilly - there was a
chiminea for those needing a bit of extra warmth!
The members attending were treated to a wonderful
garden full of planting that covered all seasons. The
landscaping was magnifi cent and included a pond with
a fountain and bog loving plants, trees and bushes of
various colours and textures, and containers with lots
of different planting including vegetables. There were
a variety of sculptures that complemented the design.
Throughout the garden there were seats providing great
views. The evening fi nished with tea, coffee
and a selection of home baking. It was a great
evening and a good way to fi nish the season.
Our next event is the Annual Flower Show at the
RBLC on Saturday 29th August at 12noon. We
hope you will enter some of the classes but if
not, we would still like to welcome you to come
and join in the day.
