ACCORD Hospice – Pooches in the Park –
This was the 4th sponsored event for our local canine friends and their
owners which took place on Sunday 10th May.
Over 60 dogs took part in a sponsored walk round Barshaw Park in aid
of the Hospice. Last year the magnifi cent sum of £3,860 was raised by
this event and monies have already started to come in from this year’s
event. The weather was reasonably kind to us except for a torrential
down pour from a very localised cloud.
Once again there was competition for the ‘Best Dressed Dog’ and
pictured are some of the winners.
Guinea Pig Rescue
A great time was had by all and our grateful
Sokel Guinea Pig rescue is a small operation, now
thanks to Alison McLaren (a volunteer for
