Four colleges comprise Bethel University: Bethel University College of Liberal Arts, Bethel University College of Professional Studies, and Bethel University College of Graduate Studies, and the College of Criminal Justice. Bethel’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) pro- gram is the second largest in Tennessee – it is a unique blend of online and face-to-face class experiences.


Bethel’s Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies


Bethel University is a private, co-ed 4-year university affili- ated with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. A small Christian school with enrollment of 2,626 (as of spring 2009), Bethel offers Bachelor’s degrees in 28 undergraduate areas and 5 master’s degrees. Every full-time student at Bethel receives a state-of the art laptop computer. Bethel College is the only Cumberland Presbyterian College anywhere. It is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.


Bethel offers traditional and non-traditional undergraduate degree programs. For years now, its "Success program" has given working adults the opportunity to earn a bachelor’s degree. The school also offers master’s degrees in education, and offers one of only two master’s degree programs in physician assistant studies in the state.

(MSPAS) program is one of only two in Tennessee. Bethel University’s College of Professional Studies adult degree program offerings include a Bachelor of Science degree in management and organizational development both online and on campus at satellite locations in Nashville, Memphis, Clarksville, Jackson and Chattanooga. Through the college of Criminal Justice, students can complete a major in Criminal Justice.


Bethel is currently conducting a $20 million capital cam- paign that will fund new teaching facilities, residence halls, stu- dent life and athletic facilities, scholarships and operational endeavors. This year the school opened a new environmentally friendly science building, and a new 266-bed dormitory. Located on a 100 acre campus in beautiful McKenzie


Tennessee, Bethel has origins going back to 1842. During its colorful 167 year history the school has even endured the ravages of the civil war. In 1872, Bethel College was moved to its pres- ent location, near the crossroad of the two major railways. Today, Bethel is home to students from 24 states and 21 countries.
