Gattefossé develops, manufactures and sells specialty ingredients for the personal care and pharmaceutical industries and offers expertise in formulation for both of these activities.
Gattefossé’s ambition is to best serve customers globally by specializing in two complementary fields: oleochemistry and biological extraction developed in its research laboratories.
This know-how enables the company to meet the latest market trends in both natural performing actives and functional excipients recognized for their sensorial benefits – this year marks the 20th anniversary of its sensorial analysis panel.
Gattefossé markets its products in more than 70 countries through 13 affiliated companies and a network of agents and distributors which operate technical and marketing support.
The company was founded in Lyon, France in 1880 by Mr. Louis Gattefossé to whom building strong relationship with customers was a priority. Since its creation, Gattefossé is a family-run and independent business, and now employs more than 280 people worldwide.
