oliday romance is dead, according to a very important sex
survey commissioned by
hotels.com, which reveals Brits would rather be Breaking Bad than doing the business...
Less than half of the Brits questioned (46%) chose sex as their favourite hotel bedroom pastime, with the largest portion (67%) choosing to watch TV in bed, followed by reading (47%). Frolicking between the sheets at least beat surfi ng the internet for cat videos (40%) and ordering club sandwiches from the room service menu (20%). The global study of over 25,000 also revealed that many travellers choose to ditch their PJs when staying in a hotel, with more than a third (39%) admitting to sleeping completely nude. Of the nations surveyed, the saucy French came in fi rst place with over half (51%) of holidaymakers preferring to sleep in the buff, whilst the UK came in joint second place with Norway, both with almost a quarter (24%) ditching their bedroom clothing. Just 16% of Irish and Russian travellers admitted to sleeping in just a sheet.
EXCESS BAGGAGE In another essential survey, this time from the guys at Holiday Extras, it has been revealed that over a quarter of Brits (26%) still diet on their holidays. The research shows that women are most disciplined, with 29% claiming that they stick to a calorie- counting regime while on holiday, compared to 23% of men who rigidly stick to a diet at all times. Beach holidays and visits to family and friends
were the biggest temptations to healthy eaters, with a massive 77% of respondents admitting that they were most likely to stuff their faces under these circumstances, compared to 12% on a city break. Meanwhile, 15% of men said holidays were an excuse to pig out, and a quick but scientifi c study of the Selling Travel offi ce revealed that precisely 0% of us diet on holiday, or fam trips, or Fridays...

The majority of those who took the wrong currency to Turkey (51%) had accidentally taken Euros, with the same mistake made by 62% of those who had taken the wrong currency to Egypt. The majority of those who had taken the wrong currency to Canada had taken US dollars (77%) and the majority of those who had taken the wrong currency to Ireland had taken pound sterling (91%).
