Abu Dhabi hits Manchester
SA dinner with Somak SOMAK hosted 20 agents at a series of dinners last month, to promote its South African product
over a relaxed three-course meal. Pictured above are agents at the Brighton dinner, where those present heard Andrew Sharpe of South African Tourism discuss some South Africa holiday highlights. Somak's Sales Manager Justin Coles offered tips on the benefits of booking with the operator, and agents also words from Thompsons (a DMC) before leaving for home with a Somak goodie bag.
NEARLY 100 travel professionals met up at Manchester' City's Etihad Stadium in March for the Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority roadshow. Agents had the chance to meet with seven partners, including Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi and Seawings Seaplane Tours, and were treated to an Arabian buffet and tried Emirati-style henna painting and falconry. Pergrination's Alison Cheetham (centre) won a trip for two to Abu Dhabi.
