This rapidly growing fleet includes EC250D and EC250E crawler excavators, along with EC140, ECR145, EC220D and EC380D models. The latest addition to the crawler fleet is an EC250D LR long reach, purchased to meet the needs of a specific deep digging contract.


Ashcourt has also taken delivery of two A30F articulated haulers for its recently-acquired quarry operations, along with L110G and L150H wheeled loaders. The firm has invested in A UK FIRST too, adding an SD135 soil compactor to this rapidly growing machinery resource.

Here, too, the company has turned to Volvo for vehicle supply, buying Volvo FH tractor units and new FMX tippers with Palfinger lorry loading grabs. Additional equipment includes a range of crushing and screening machinery within the two quarries.


Ashcourt works throughout Yorkshire and the North East, offering a wide range of civil engineering and construction services to a growing number of clients. Having operated initially with other makes of machinery, Mr Bousfield and, in particular, his operations manager Andy Nicholson, have decided that where possible Volvo will be the supplier of choice going forwards.


“The drivers prefer the Volvos for their driving experience,” says Mr Bousfield.
