CSM Sales Ltd is headed up by managing director Calum Shaw who has worked within the agricultural and construc- tion equipment sectors for most of his working life and, more recently, with the Morris Leslie Group, where he spent seven years on machine sales and the last two years with Balgownie Ltd.
The company will be responsible for the sales and after market support for the full range of Volvo utility equipment covering Perthshire, Aberdeenshire, Fife, Forfarshire, Highlands and Western Isles. This includes compact excavators from 1.5 to 8.8 tonnes, compact wheeled loaders up to 1.0m3 capacity and backhoe loaders. In its initial start-up phase and with its sales office based on the Longman Industrial Estate, Inver- ness, CS Machinery Sales Ltd will be utilising the resources of Volvo CE’s customer support centre located at Stirling for service support. Parts support comes from Volvo’s existing parts dealer for the north of Scotland and CS Machinery’s parent company Campbell Plant Hire.

The appointment of CSM Sales Ltd as the official dealer for Volvo utility equipment coincides with the promotion of Volvo’s Charlie Flaws who has been selling utility equipment directly across the whole of Scotland for the past 16 years. Charlie now takes on the mantle of Dealer Development Manager North (north of England and Scotland) and will closely assist Calum as the new company grows. Opportunities now arise for seeking a suitable dealer or dealers to handle Volvo utility equipment for Scotland’s central belt and borders areas.
