Urban Regen based in Bolton, Greater
Manchester, has taken delivery of a new Volvo EC380E excavator for its plant fleet.
Joining two smaller Volvo excavators purchased earlier in the year, namely an EC250D and an EC300D, the new Volvo EC380E is the largest excavator purchased by Urban Regen thus far and has been put to work on an on-going land remediation project in Cheshire. Besides the standard hammer/shear hydraulic circuit, the new machine has been fitted with a
heavy duty screen guard to protect the cab windscreen and operator from debris.

Equipped with a Stage IV Final 13 litre engine, the EC380E develops 306 nett hp and is ideally matched to its automatic sensing mode hydraulic system. The machine’s hydraulics are perfectly matched to the engine and are controlled by an advanced system which provides on-demand flow and reduces power losses within the circuit. Volvo’s unique ECO mode contributes up to 9% of the machine’s total improved efficiency over the D model — without any loss of performance in most operating conditions. As well as improving fuel efficiency, this increases controllability for more precise performance.
