One of thousands restored for free. One grateful Oklahoma family. One vital industry doing the right thing.
The Hughes Family, Osage County
After family, land is one of our most precious resources. For three generations of Hughes men in Osage County, that’s especially true. Site number 7,926 is one of more than 13,000 abandoned well sites that have been cleaned up free of charge, thanks to Oklahoma’s oil and natural gas industry. At sites across Oklahoma, debris from abandoned wells is being removed at no cost to landowners. Restoring the land for future generations – just one more reason we can all be Oklahoma Proud.
