save money on their utility bills. To that end, the co- op off ers rebates to residential consumers who install energy effi cient heat pumps and water heaters. Before purchasing and/or installing a heat pump, we recommend you:

select an EnergySTAR®- rated product;


get at least three bids before contracting the work; and


verify your heat and air company is qualifi ed to install heat pumps.


Only OEC members qualify for OEC rebates and the following conditions must be met:


✔ the rebate claim must be made within six months of installation;


✔ equipment must be new; ✔ a copy of the sales slip or work order and a copy


✔ member must arrange for an inspection with RJ Mapes. Call 405-217-6709 to set up an appointment.

Upgrades Effi ciency Rebates


Rebates are available for the installation of heat pumps in new constructed homes, apartments, and other structures billed under OEC's residential rate and in existing structures converting from gas to electric.


Air-source:


$175/ton installed cooling capacity ☛ 13 SEER minimum (back-up fuel— electric/gas/propane—allowed


$325/ton installed cooling capacity ☛ 16 SEER (13.4 EER) & HSPF 8.5 minimum.


Air-source rebate is available for new construction or conversion from gas; it is not available for an air- source replacement.


Geothermal:


$1,000/ton (max $5,000) ☛ 18.5 EER & 3.6 COP minimum


Geothermal systems must be total electric to qualify at the geothermal rebate level. Gas back-up geothermal systems qualify at the air-source rebate level.


Electric Water Heater:


$180 per eligible electric water heater ☛ R-12 or greater insulation value; ☛ have two(2) 4,500 watt heating elements; and


☛ have a fi ve-year tank warranty.


Replacement of an existing electric water heater does not qualify for a rebate.
