COUNTRYWIDE RETAINS NEW HOMES TITLE Countrywide Land & New Homes won gold for Best New Homes Agency for a second successive year at the Estate Agency of the Year Awards. Countrywide, which last year acquired
Lambert Smith Hampton to increase its commercial land reach, sponsors a land graduate scheme at Nottingham Trent University. It has positioned itself very much as an investor in people and an industry voice, engaging with developers and government. The silver award in the Best New
Homes Agency category, which was sponsored by WhatHouse? and presented by sales director Mark Edmondson went to LSL Land & New Homes. LSL was praised for the strength and depth of its market intelligence, producing highly respected and informed indices across the property spectrum including a New Build Index. Bronze went to Foxtons for its client focus, innovative marketing and staff training and an energetic commitment
to generating leads, referrals and valuations and understanding its London market. Bronze was also awarded to
Beresfords, with its strong market share in Essex and Greater London and ‘client for life’ culture, as well as innovative training including development awareness courses, urging agents to ‘look over the garden fence’ and spot local development opportunities. In other UK-wide categories,
Hamptons International won gold for Large Agency, while Pygott & Crone in Lincolnshire took gold for Medium Agency. Gold in the Small Agency category went to Yorkshire-based Preston Baker. For the full results go to
