Managing
director at David Wilson Homes East Midlands, John Reddington, commented: “In a company like ours, expansion is a necessity, and I am thrilled that such expansion has given loyal workers like Kevin and Ben the opportunity to rise to senior positions. We aim to award excellence and to encourage progression within the company, so it’s great to see people who have been here for a number of years working their way up. I wish them both every success in the future.”
BKoncepts – Harold Tatton
BKoncepts has announced the appointment of Harold Tatton as sales director. Tatton will begin his new position with the company on 1 January and will be responsible for developing sales outside London. He has many years’ experience in coordinating sales teams and developing strategic sales initiatives: he was instrumental in developing Cooper Clarke Group from a £1m to £55m turnover company during the late 80s and early 90s and was sales director for a specialist distributor of building products and a stone manufacturer. “I am confident of growth at BKoncepts as the building industry, and the housebuilding industry in particular, are now installing quality products as they strive to attract the discerning homebuyer,” commented Tatton, pictured with managing director Bob Ruler (left). “Just fitting a kitchen will not help sell a property. Housebuilders know their customers require something different, unique in fact, and so will not just offer extras, they will offer a kitchen to wow their customers. This is why they choose Nolte and BKoncepts for their exclusive developments.”
The Miller Group – Richard Hodsden Richard Hodsden has been appointed group finance director of The Miller Group with immediate effect. Hodsden was most recently chief financial officer of Safestore Holdings plc where he led the IPO of Safestore on the main market of the London Stock Exchange in 2007. Previously, he was chief financial officer of Security Printing and Systems, a division of The Stationery Office. He managed the sale of this division before becoming chief financial officer of the acquisition vehicle, Globalvault. Hodsden holds an accountancy degree from University of Wales, Cardiff, and has been a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales since 1991. Keith M Miller CBE, chief executive of The Miller Group, said: “Richard has considerable business experience and a significant track record having held a number of senior posts during his career. I am delighted to welcome Richard to The Miller Group.”
Redrow –Matthew Pratt
Redrow has promoted Matthew Pratt to the newly created role of regional chief executive. In his new role, Pratt will oversee four divisions covering the north of England, north Wales and the Midlands. The creation of this new position is a reflection of Redrow’s ambitious expansion plans for its operations in England and Wales. Having joined Redrow in 2003 as a chief quantity surveyor, Pratt moved through the ranks and most recently held the position of managing director for the Midlands division. “As we continue to drive growth of our business, I will be overseeing a number of our divisional companies,” he said. “This will also facilitate our expansion plans elsewhere in the country as other senior directors move to focus on the rapidly growing Redrow operations in London and the south of England.”
