15 day tour itinerary
Day 1 Tour starts San Jose. Day 2 Poas Volcano Explore San Jose, Costa Rica’s capital city. Visit the volcanic crater of Poas, and a coffee plantation. Days 3/4 Reptiles and rafting Travel to Turrialba. Discover fascinating reptiles at the serpentarium. Visit the ancient Indian ceremonial centre at Guayabo. Option to go whitewater rafting. Days 5/6 Tortuguero National Park Explore the dense jungle and cruise through the waterways searching for wildlife including howler monkeys and parrots. In season (June to September) there is the option to observe turtles. Day 7 Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui Travel by boat and bus to Sarapiqui. Search for butterfl ies, birds and bats there. Days 8/9 Arenal Volcano Visit Costa Rica’s most active volcano. Option to

relax in thermal springs. Days 10/11 Monteverde Cloud Forest Walk Visit conservation project in Santa Elena Reserve. Option to explore high canopy walkways to spot exotic wildlife including the rare Queztal bird, and walk in Monteverde Cloudforest. Days 12/13 Pacifi c beaches Enjoy walking the trails of Manuel Antonio National Park, spotting the local wildlife, or relaxing on the golden sandy beaches where monkeys and iguanas can often be seen. Day 14 San Jose Spend a relaxing morning by the coast before returning to the capital. Days 15 Tour ends San Jose.
