Day 1 Join tour Beijing. Days 2/3 Beijing Walk along the incredible Great Wall at Mutianyu. Spend time exploring the imperial palaces of the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. Take a sleeper train to Xian. Days 4/5 Xian Visit the Terracotta Army: life-size models of soldiers, horses and chariots. Days 6/7 Chengdu Fly to the capital of the Sichuan Province and meet giant pandas at the Panda Research Centre. Take a sleeper train to Sanjiang. Days 8/9 Village Walks Spend two days walking between the remote villages of Ma An Zhai and Pingan in the Longji hills: roam through the vast ‘Dragon’s Backbone’ terraced rice paddies, meet

the local Zhuang tribe and stay in traditional village houses. Days 10/12 Yangshuo Free time to explore the Yangshuo region - a landscape of eroded limestone peaks on the Li River. There is the option to hire bikes, ride on a bamboo raft down the river or enjoy a lesson in Chinese cooking. Take a sleeper train to Hong Kong. Days 13/14 Hong Kong Free time to explore the city, take the tram to Victoria Peak or wander through the night markets. Day 15 Tour ends Hong Kong.
