Thai Hilltribe Adventure FTH 15 day tour itinerary


Day 1 Join tour Bangkok. Option to cruise the city’s backwaters in longtail boats along the city’s klongs (canals). Days 2/3 Bangkok Find the Emerald Buddha in the grounds of the Grand Palace and visit the many surrounding temples. Travel in a sleeper train upcountry to Chiang Mai. Day 4 Chiang Mai Climb the 300-step ‘Dragon Staircase’ to Doi Suthep temple. Days 5/7 Hilltribe trek A three-day jungle trek in Thailand’s northern hills. We encounter a variety of tribes along the way and stay in bamboo stilt houses. Try river rafting, elephant riding and explore a huge network of pristine limestone caves. Day 8 Mae Hong Son

A day to relax in this pleasant Shan market town. Days 9/10 Chiang Mai Drive to Chiang Mai where there is the chance to attend a Thai cookery lesson. Meet elephants at the Lampang Sanctuary and hospital. Days 11/13 Koh Samet Travel by overnight train, bus and ferry to this tropical island; an ideal place to take a boat trip or snorkel. Day 14 Bangkok Return to Bangkok where there’s time for some last minute shopping. Day 15 Tour ends Bangkok.
