Polonnaruwa, climbing to the top of Lion’s Rock and keeping a look out for bats in
Kandy’s botanical gardens are all part of this exploration of Sri Lanka. Along the way we also visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth, Dambulla’s ornately painted cave temples and take an elephant back safari at Habarana. We fi nish off with time to relax on the beautiful beaches of the east coast.

Day 1 Join tour in Negombo. Day 2 Kandy Drive to the highlands and look out for bats in the botanical garden. Visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth. Day 3 Painted caves Explore the ornately decorated cave temples at Dambulla. Ride elephants at Habarana. Day 4 Sky fortress Start early to ascend the mighty Lion’s Rock in time for sunrise. Cycle tour of Polonnaruwa.

Days 5/6 Passikudah Drive to the east coast and spend two days relaxing on the beach. Day 7 Negombo Leaving the east coast we drive back to Negombo for our fi nal night. Day 8 Tour ends in Negombo.
