15 day tour itinerary
Day 1 Join tour Bangkok. Optional visit through the city’s backwaters using traditional longtail boats to travel along the klongs (canals). Day 2 Bangkok Visit Buddhist temples and search for the Emerald Buddha in the city’s Grand Palace. Take a sleeper train up country to Chiang Mai. Days 3/4 Chiang Mai Explore the city with the option of learning to prepare a delicious Thai curry. Ride elephants into the jungle at the Lampang Elephant Sanctuary. Day 5 Tribal villages Take a scenic longtail boat to Chiang Rai, stopping at tribal villages en route. Visit an elephant-dung paper factory and learn to make paper. Day 6 Into Laos Cross the Mekong River to Laos and the village of Ban Houei Sai. Days 7/8 Mekong slowboat Travel

gently down the Mekong, discovering friendly villages and sacred caves before reaching the ancient capital of Luang Prabang. Days 9/10 Luang Prabang Time to explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Kuang Si waterfalls or cycle through lush countryside. Days 11/13 Mysterious Angkor Fly to Cambodia. Explore the ‘Lost Cities’ of Angkor: the world’s largest temple complex, buried deep in the Cambodian jungle. Visit the fl oating villages on Lake Tonle Sap. Day 14 Bangkok Last chance for great shopping and souvenir hunting. Day 15 Tour ends Bangkok.
