Area Director, Civils. Scotland. A�rac�ve Salary Package.


An excellent opportunity has just opened up for an Area Director, Civils, to manage business and project ac�vi�es for an interna�onal market leading construc�on company in Scotland. The role will involve developing the business in line with the company and regional strategic plan.


Key objec�ves:  To ac�vely source new work  To win work by appropriate bid strategies  To deliver projects and achieve perfect delivery  To ensure accurate forecas�ng and delivery of financial outcomes  To manage & con�nually develop the client base.


Principal responsibili�es and accountabili�es:  Consider: management of people, systems and processes, suppliers, customers, and finances


 Deliver the company and regional objec�ves with the geographical area  Manage financial budgets for both profit and growth  To ensure Project/Site Managers adhere to company systems, procedures and policies


 To monitor and support the site management teams  Ensure a con�nuously improving Health & Safety culture  Con�nuously monitor progress and programmes throughout the contracts and report accordingly.


Technical skills and experience:  Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering  ICE accredita�on preferred  Proven track record at Director level in transporta�on (rail, avia�on, roads) and energy (power, water & renewable)


 Extensive experience within Civil Engineering  Experience in different forms of contract i.e. NEC, ICE and framework agreements


 Ability to monitor progress and programmes throughout the contracts and report accordingly


 Ability to demonstrate commercial acumen  Understanding of period cost repor�ng and comparison with budget/forecast


 Experience in management of staff, labour and sub contractors  Experience in bid prepara�on and es�ma�ng.
