PRIVATEER Ross Tricker has re-joined the bike industry after a seven year absence, becoming Privateer’s commercial manager. Tricker was a big name in the late 90s and
early 2000’s MTB scene, first riding for Kona and then DMR as a pro downhill and 4X racer, and later becoming known for his MC’ing skills on the Animal Bike Tour and at events like NASS. “Bikes have shaped my life, so I jumped at the opportunity to join Privateer,” said Tricker. “I’m really excited to be catching up with old friends in the industry, and taking the message of Privateer to a larger audience.” Ross will be looking for new wholesale

My client is a long established “Bricks & Clicks” retailer with a massive online presence and is seeking to add to their current portfolio a range of branded mountain and road bikes along with a complete selection of accessories.
In order to successfully develop this range they require a specialist purchasing professional with an outstanding knowledge of the UK bike sector. This requires an in depth knowledge of the bicycle market and someone who is ideally currently employed as a buyer for bikes elsewhere. The successful candidate would be responsible for developing and maintaining this section of our product range, including a supporting range of accessories. In addition there would be responsibility for establishing sales forecasts, pricing policy, profitability and negotiating hard fought supplier agreements in order to ensure the best prices with which to be competitive and successful in the market place.
