UK demand for the Thai product continues to hold strong with 31 buyers from the UK and Ireland attending this year’s TTM, including seven product managers who attended for the first time. UK visitor arrivals from January to
May increased by nearly 1.5% with 2012 arrivals over 800,000. TAT Director, Chris Lee, said: “It was great to see such interest and ongoing commitment from the UK market. Thailand certainly looks to remain one of the UK’s favourite long haul destinations for the future.”

International has unveiled a joint venture agreement with a China-based partner, to develop a minimum of 10 hotels over the next five

approximately 5,000 Dusit-branded hotel rooms in China. The group reported strong interest in its Thai properties and a 12.8% increase in revenue year-to-date.
