Trackside lighting Trackside lighting is a core activity available from all depots, either to hire or on a contract basis where Torrent’s staff install and operate the equipment. IT Torrent is proud of the IT systems it has developed to provide real-time information on every plant item within its fleet. This includes service histories, test certification and a wide range of flexible reports available online for customers where they can interrogate their own specific records to identify plant on hire, location and certification status, together with a range of financial reports. Customers find this facility beneficial as they can verify what equipment is on hire and carry out regular site checks to ensure plant remains in use.

Experienced management team The senior management team consists of David McNair, managing director; Leigh Webb, sales and operations director; Andy Ellis, Network Rail contracts director; Darren Smith, commercial manager; Mark Farnsworth compliance manager; and Lisa Freeman, financial controller.
