Business profile
German family-owned company, Hering offers a wide range of solutions in precast concrete for use in public traffic areas
or more than 120 years, the company has made a name for itself through its demand-driven and individual development of modular components. These include architectural precast concrete facades as cladding or sandwich-construction and betoShell®
F -
which is a thin and rear-ventilated textile fibre reinforced concrete (TRC) cladding panel.
Hering also offers industrially prefabricated concrete panels with pre- integrated windows and completely prefabricated system platforms with ready-to-use surfacing.
These products are characterised by a high level of prefabrication, allowing them to be installed in an extremely short time compared to conventional methods. As well as that, construction that is independent of the weather enhances quality and saves resources.
Every product made by Hering can be precisely modified for each project
and integrated into all surroundings, for example its modula®
platform
system, which is based on the idea of joining together Hering’s prefabrication and experience as a trackwork civil engineering and precast specialist. The result is a precast system which perfectly suits the special requirements of railway customers, operators and users. With experience of more than 350 projects and 145.000 sq metres of platform across central Europe, Hering’s specialists guide customers through all stages of a modula®
project, from design through to construction.
Meeting the requirements of today`s rail and civil engineering projects Hering modula® following:
platforms fulfill the
- high level of prefabrication (safe and protected from weather) in pre-cast factory
- reduced trackside and site works
- foundation outside track-loads inside green-zone through front-side cantilever of platform units - fewer possessions and less possession time through short installation periods - systemised but tailor-made production to gauge, line, levels and falls (straight, curved or tapered) - lamp posts, signal posts, railings or fences can be fixed directly to the units without extra foundations
- yellow line and tactile guiding system is integrated in the finished surface - cables and services can be fixed in pre-installed ducts or trays in the platform void - manholes are cast in and covers match the surrounding surface
- Hering meets the requirements of British railway operators.
