These lovelies are some of the newest Chrysanthemums to come from Delifl or: Roma Festa is a new take on the classic Roma Chrysanth. The diff erence? The fi ne red line running all the way around the edge of each petal. They’re being supplied by G&G Flowers in fairly low numbers at fi rst but forecast to increase so they should be a hit for Halloween and the autumn months. Next up is a stem in show off pink, unique due to its stripes spattered across the petals. The VIP double spray Chrysanth is being supplied in large numbers by R&A van der Voort so there’s plenty of this to go around. Finally the Baltica Lime will make a sweet addition to your stands with its pale, fresh colouring and mossy green eye, it’s being supplied by A.M. de Waal and you can get your hands on it after April 11th.
Cooking up Something Floral
When The Flower Recipe book landed on my desk I was wary of opening just another how-to-make-a-hand-tied manual but this book has such a gorgeous style and feel to it we had to share. Even if you see yourself as the fl orist of the century just ignore the instructions and gaze at the imagery instead. It's true this is certainly a guide for amateurs rather than professional fl orists but the oh-so-pretty visuals make it worth a read or suitable for selling in the shop. This artisan fl oral cookbook contains 100 seasonal designs, arranged alphabetically by fl ower type, beginning with alium and ending with zinnia, so it's easy to fi nd your favourites.
