Florentine Pocket Square Buttonhole Holder
Blinging the flower sales in I
f there’s one thing we’ve noticed about the fl ower industry it’s the way trends have changed for weddings.
Jam jars are now all the rage, artistically arranged with hedgerow type fl owers - invariably it has to be said bought from wholesalers rather than cut from gardens but which look the part. Where once wide brimmed
hats were all the rage, these days perilously positioned fascinators with more feather than fabric predominate and the one staid old buttonhole has become a work of art as the chaps vie to compete with the bride and MOB’s want to be as noticed as much as their daughters. OK so there are still loads of

serious opportunities out there for the savvy fl orist who looks further than the bling thing and sees all the products coming onto the market, not as some whacky American idea but a seriously interesting revenue stream that could appeal to far more of your customers than you may think!
Because just as fashion
changes so have the barometers of taste. Where once dyed and manipulated fl owers were sniff ed at, even high style shoppers and style gurus are raving over them. Where once bling and glitz was the preserve of the Gypsy wedding, these days frightfully nice gals are just as happy to add a bit of sparkle to their world. It makes life harder but truth is there are no rules these days! So we decided to take a look
at one of the leading suppliers of all this bling and stuff to fi nd out just what could be done and where they’re seeing the growth. Because when it comes to jewellery type accessories Corsage Creations have pretty much cornered the UK market and by working closely with the biggest US supplier Fitz, have been able to not only put together a collection that is seriously stylish but are also spending a lot of time and money putting together a raft of
