Step 4
Step 5
Companies like Floralife® have spent years and a lot of money researching the right formula
them with instant hydration so they take up more water once put in the bucket and as a result the fl owers last longer. Step 3 is using Floralife®
Clear
200, a special formula designed for in-shop use only. “A lot of fl orists make the mistake of using the same food as they give their customers thinking it saves money and having to stock another line.” says Anthony. “Fact is Floralife® Clear 200 is designed to ‘hold’ the fl ower in bud form whilst still giving it the right amount of food, protecting it from infection and making sure it hydrates properly.” Step 4 is really important for
wedding, funeral or foam based design work. Because Floralife® Finishing Touch is another clever product that refreshes and protects fl owers. The spray is absorbed into the leaves and buds of the fl owers and not only controls the amount of moisture lost but also contains nutrients that will feed the fl owers and keep them healthy. Anthony says “It’s an extra safety precaution and especially important for summer weddings where you want the

fl owers to look good as long as possible.” Finally there’s Step 5 which is actually using Floralife®
Clear
300! This is the fl ower food that you give to customers in sachet form or mix with water for vases or to soak foam in to make sure fl owers get what they need when they reach their fi nal destination. “The whole purpose of Floralife® Clear 300 is to keep fl ower colour brilliant and foliage healthy.” Anthony explained. “It works by making sure stems freely fl ow to enable water and nutrients to reach the fl ower so they open fully.”
And that is exactly what the
Five Steps of Fresh is all about. Making sure the fl owers open when they should, not a moment too soon or a moment too late but precisely on time and in a way that saves you money by reducing wastage and keeps customers coming back for more of your long lasting fl owers. Best of all it’s incredibly easy and inexpensive to follow. To fi nd out more please visit www. fl
