AVEX is the largest UK exhibition for vending and water in the UK and attracts all the key players from the industry. Over 150 exhibitors will be at the show, including the industry’s major manufacturers, leading operators and service companies.
New this year is the FM Vending Show, a show within a show specifi cally for facilities managers. It will focus on delivering real advice on how to increase profi ts by introducing an array of educative workshops and seminar sessions. Indeed, a number of conference and seminar sessions will be held across the three days to help visitors boost sales and network.
The social calendar includes a drinks reception at the end of the fi rst day and a Gala Awards dinner on the second evening, hosted by the Automatic Vending Association.

This is the fi rst ever Shrewsbury Food Festival and it already has some great support, with over 130 exhibitors booked in (and booked up!) and a host of foodie events planned. The exhibition will include fantastic artisan food, drink and local crafts, all hailing from Shropshire. Visitors
will fi nd butchers, smokers, bakers, cheese makers, vegetable growers, oil producers and fi shmongers taking a stall, offering samples and showcasing the region’s rich produce. There will also be a small ‘Bursary’ Farmers market area featuring a handful of smaller producers. Elsewhere, visitors can head to a number of talks and demonstrations, including a hands-on baking session and chef demonstrations. The festival will also host Eat Shrewsbury, presenting the opportunity for local artisan food producers to open their doors and offer low-cost dishes as part of the event’s restaurant safari.

Over 80 stalls are booked for the annual Dorset Seafood Festival this year. Visitors can expect mouth- watering seafood menus and celebrity chefs, all the while raising money for the Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen. The festival is now in its 6th
year and there is plenty to look forward to. Duncan Lucas will be giving a
fi lleting demo, while TV chef Lesley Waters will be giving a cookery demonstration. On Sunday, Mark Hix will give a cookery demonstration and judge the Dorset Young Seafood Master Chef Challenge. Both days will end with a Fish Auction on behalf of the nominated charity.

This is widely regarded as the best food and drink festival in Essex; it’s all about tasting, learning, participating and soaking up the atmosphere. The entry ticket provides access to all areas of the festival, including three cookery theatres where top chefs show off their skills. Visitors can even volunteer for one of the hands on experiences in the Master Class cookery theatre, while there are also cookery classes for children. This year, Paul Hollywood will be demonstrating on the fi rst day of the festival and judging baking competitions, while other top names include Mark Baumann from Baumanns Brasserie, who will be showcasing some of his dishes on Sunday. Visitors can also walk through the many exhibitor stalls, displaying some of the fi nest food and drink produce from all over East Anglia.
